Amazing - can't wait for more!
author: Tina
After hearing his CD "The Mirror," I
couldn't wait for the next one! Stolen Season does not disappoint. I
love every song on it. I can (and do) listen to it all day long. If
you love the music of the 80's, it's a must. If you have been to
JellyRolls and heard Jason live, what are you waiting for? Keep up
the great work!

A glorious, hook-laden affair
author: Rob Evans, Powerplay Magazine
An album that has totally blown me away this
month is the wonderful debut album "Stolen Season" by the
artist, Jace. Jason Pawlak is the man behind, what is, probably, one
of the best Independent AOR albums I've heard this year. Recorded
over the last few years "Stolen Season" is a glorious,
hook-laden affair that harks back to that golden era of AOR, the
eighties. A full time pianist, Jason has used his talent to great
effect on this album. Alongside his father and brother, he's created
an album that captures the spirit of AOR and, most of all, comes
from the heart. If you can Imagine a blend of Nelson, Mitch Malloy
(circa "Ceilings And Walls") and Square One, chuck in some
Venice style harmonies and mix it up with a bit of Danny Wilde, then
you'll have a good Idea as to what this album sounds like. Jason is
blessed with a superb voice and has put it to great use on these
well structured, lyrically Intelligent songs. Take a listen to
"Out Of Reach", "The Edge Of Goodbye" and the
awesome "Take Me Back" and you'll be blown away by three
of the best opening songs on an AOR record in many a year! The likes
of "Let Me Sleep", "Should've Been You" and
"Lost" only add to the enjoyment that is "Stolen
Season". This album is as good as anything that is being put
out by the main AOR labels. You can order it from www.jacemusic.com
or www.cdbaby.com

Finally, a CD you can listen to over and over
again!
author: Courtney
It's not easy to find a CD that I can listen
to over and over. I'm happy to say that Jace's Stolen Season is one
of those CDs. Each of these songs can bring out some kind of emotion
in anyone. There's "Table for Two", an upbeat song that
became my theme song the second I heard it for the first time. Then
there's "Should've Been You" that can almost make anyone
cry. "Lost" is another great one! I'm not going to go over
what I like about every song, but I'd recommend this CD to pretty
much anyone. It might be geared a little bit towards the romantic,
but that's why I love it. It's awesome!

Cool and extremely fresh breeze in the melodic
rock school of today.
author: Johnny Forslund
This is not a regular rock/pop album. “Stolen
Season” is a cool and extremely fresh breeze in the melodic rock
school of today. Jace managed to mix pop/rock with a some nice AOR
elements, but the dominate attitude will be placed in the melodic
rock field with some westcoast pearls involved. He gives us some
real catchy moments to remember. I am a big fan of Richard Marx and
this one belongs in the same breath. To keep the spirit alive, he
haven´t forgot to bake in some 80s spices to it all. “Stolen
Season” is broad album that many music lovers will like. You will
find some fine tunes in every song and bands like Journey, Reo
Speedwagon, Bad English and many more show up in your head up while
listening to Jace. I almost forgot to mention the two other brothers
of this band, the guitarists Trevor and Dennis Pawlak. A perfect
combination. I´m sure a label will give jace and the gang a
contract for the next album and with that a better production comes
along too.

The beauty of Stolen Season is the different
range of music it encompasses. From fast upbeat songs, "Let Me
Sleep", to the perfect love gone wrong, "Should've Been
You". You can venture from Bon Jovi type music, to songs
equivalent to Cold Play in one track. A must have cd for everyone!

playing---all his own stuff. The ballads really captures the pain of
losing someone you love. My favorites are "Out Of Reach"
and "Should Have Been You". Great sound!

Songs that speak to your heart
author: Beth from Long Island
After becoming a fan of Jace's through his
ongoing gig at Jellyroll's (Disney's Boardwalk Resort)I HAD to get
this CD. Favorite songs are "Should've Been You" and
"Out of Reach" but throughout the CD you will find a very
eclectic assortment of rock, ballads, acoustic tunes -- all with a
seamless ribbon of insightful lyrics and a poetic voice. Jace's
songwriting skills are going to be what establishes him as an artist
of reckoning, along with his considerable singing talent.

WOW!!
author: Debbie
It's nice to hear different (non-Jellyrolls)
music on this CD - a great change. Although all the songs have the
same theme (lost love - something everyone can relate to), the CD is
still great - I have it downloaded on my iPod, and love it!

Catchy Hookladen AOR Poprock
author: Gabor Kleinbloesem
JACE is a band from Florida/USA and their CD
is filled with classic 80s AOR/Poprock. 12 songs are included and
although some songs are pure Melodic Poprockers like THE OUTFIELD,
there's enough to enjoy for the pure AOR fan. For example the superb
pure 80s AOR ballad "The edge of goodbye" is like a trip
to memory lane reminding of a cross between REO SPEEDWAGON, JOURNEY
and BAD ENGLISH. This song is one of the best AOR ballads I have
heard in a long time, as good as the recent PHILIP BARDOWELL, BLANC
FACES and FINAL FRONTIER CD releases. The material is not
straight-forward ballsy Hardrock, but well-thought calmer
semi-acoustic/electric melodic lead vocal/harmonyvocal driven AOR/Melodic
Poprock, catchy and radio-ready. The band has a good lead singer
(multi-instrumentalist Jason Pawlak), while the 2 other members are
guitarists Trevor and Dennis Pawlak, so you notice these are 3
brothers actually, with Jason as most important family member of
JACE, because he plays every instrument as well writing and
producing everything. Other highlights besides the already mentioned
"The edge of goodbye" are "Let me sleep" (one of
a few classic uptempo 80s catchy hookladen AOR/Melodic Rockers,
fantastic song by the way, kinda like AVIATOR and AGENT, so pure mid
80s AOR sound!), "Nothing in the way", "Fine
line" (beautiful melodic guitarwork, lovely semi AOR ballad
like DEF LEPPARD meets BAD ENGLISH) and the TRIXTER type of semi
melodic rocker "Take me back". Maybe not truly rocking,
still super melodic and very AORish in a sort of RICHARD MARX meets
NOUVEAUX meets CHASE 'In pursuit" style, but also interesting
to check out for the FRONTIERS RECORDS buying public. More info at:

Catchy melodic rockers and some neat ballads.
author: Jason Ritchie
Jace or Jason Pawlak is a singer/musician
based in the US and I reviewed his early album, ‘The Mirror’
back in 2002. He’s back with a new set of tunes and is joined by
Dennis Pawlak and Trevor Pawlak on guitars. Again it is a mix of
catchy melodic rockers and some neat ballads. Picks of the bunch are
the ultra catchy ‘Table For Two’ – some tasty guitars on this
little beauty – ‘Take Me Back’ which would be a hit single
given proper airplay and a bigger production budget, and ‘Lost’.
Those who enjoy catchy melodic rock tunes with a hint of Def Leppard
and Loverboy would do well to pop along to Jace’s website ASAP.
Another quality singer/songwriter and why he’s not signed to a
label is a mystery.

Simply Beautiful
author: Meagan
Stolen Season's is simply beautiful. I watched
a friend cry while listening to "It Should Have Been You"
for the first time. They are songs of heartbreak and love, what all
the best music is made of. Amazing lyrics and great catchy tunes. I
see Jace's work on the radio in the very near future.

Stolen Season is rock at its best!
author: Jen
This CD is great! The tracks contain a perfect
balance of instruments and voice- one never out powers the other.
You will feel the energy of the fast songs and you’ll find
yourself swaying to the beat of the slow songs. Stolen Season shows
Jason’s immense vocal range and when paired with such intense
lyrics, it’s amazing. Everyone who has ever really longed to be
with someone should buy this CD.
WOW, WOW, WOW
author: Laurie
This Cd from Jason, entitles a lot of
personal songs, that for some of us, go deep. When Jason is
singing Table for Two, that feels like he was inside my brain
when the lyrics came to him.. The CD Stolen Season involves many
different aspects of a person life. From trying to have that
relationship, to holding on to it, and from keeping it real..
This CD enables you to want to listen over and over again...
Enjoyed the CD very much and plan on telling lots of people
about it..

Good CD with an nice 80's feel.
author: Kirsten
This is a great CD, it's fun to listen to
(especially Table for Two). I like the 80's feel. Anyone can
relate to the lyrics and each song is unique so it doesn't get
boring from begining to end. Very good.
